Our Lord told us to read and understand the prophecies in the book of Daniel concerning end time events. So let's enjoy the great wisdom of God recorded 2,500 years ago as He described events today.
Understandings from Daniel:-
1. King of the North is the Antichrist, a Muslim from Persia
A. King of the North is a Persian
The king of the North was the former Persian Empire comprising of present day Iran, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, so he is a Persian.
B. He is the Antichrist
Dan 11:36a "Then the king (North) shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods."
The Antichrist will sit in the Temple of God making himself God.
C. He is a Muslim
Just see how God described Islam found in Saudi Arabia today, 2,500 years ago.
Dan 11:37 "He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all."
Saudi Arabia is the home of Islam. The Saudis have no regard to the desires of women (love, family life, loving husband not master, freedom, husband of one wife, equality, humanity, etc.).
Dan 11:38 "But in their place he shall honor a god of fortresses; and a god which his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and pleasant things."
In Mecca, the pilgrims go round and bow down to the fortress (housing the Kaaba stone), which was covered with a black cloth decorated with gold, silver and precious stones.
2. He will conquer Jerusalem
Dan 11:41a "He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many [countries] shall be overthrown;"
3. He will stop the Daily [sacrifice]
Dan 12:11 "And from the time that the daily [sacrifice] is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.
He will stop and remove the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which calls the Muslims daily to prayer (sacrifice), for the building of the Temple.
4. He will sign a 7 years Treaty
Dan 9:27a Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
The Antichrist will sign a treaty to allow all Jews to go back to Israel to build the Temple (King Cyrus).
5. He will build Temple of God
Dan 11:45 "And he shall plant the tents of his palace (Temple) between the seas on (and) the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him."
The Antichrist will build the Temple of God in Jerusalem between the Dead Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.
6. Abomination of Desolation is set up when the Temple of God is dedicated to the Antichrist where he proclaims himself God.
Without these revelations, we can not understand the relationship of Antichrist with the Temple of God,
7. End Time truth revealed only in the last days
Dan 12:8-9 "Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, "My lord, what shall be the end of these things?" And he said, "Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
Brethren, can you see the great wisdom, knowledge and understanding in the words of our Father, the Almighty God. So read, believe and keep His words.
