Preparing for the coming WW3
John 3:3, 4-6 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."... Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."
All humans are born in the flesh but we need to be born again of the Spirit so that we see the kingdom of God. How can we be born again? We only need to believe in Jesus Christ the Son of God to be saved or born again.
What must we believe in Jesus?
Mat 16;16, 21 Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."... From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.
Only after Peter confessed that Jesus was the Messiah (Christ) and the Son of God, did our Lord Jesus began to preach the gospel as follows:-
1. He will suffer many things,
2. He will be killed
3. On the third day He will resurrect from the dead
we must believe the above gospel that Jesus Christ the Son of God came in the flesh to suffer and killed and on the third day was raised from the dead. This is the gospel we must preach to all nations for the the remission of their sins.
Luke 24:46-47 Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."
Luke 24:6-11 "He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, "saying, 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.' " And they remembered His words. Then they returned from the tomb and told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. And their words seemed to them like idle tales, and they did not believe them.
The disciples did not believe Mary when she told them that the Lord had risen from the dead.
John 20:9 _For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead._
Disciples born again with Spirit
John 20:20-21 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. So Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you." And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit."
Only when His disciples had believed the gospel that Jesus Christ will suffer, killed and rise again the third day did our Lord gave them the Holy Spirit and be born again.
Born again at Pentecost
Act 2:23-24, 37 "Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it."... Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?"
The devout Jews believed the gospel preached by the disciples and they received the Holy Spirit and were born again.
Brethren, are we preaching the gospel of Jesus or the watered down version of blessings and prosperity?
